    TUV Rheinland India signs MoU with Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH)

     

    Bengaluru, 28thAugust, 2017: TUV Rheinland India, a subsidiary of TUV Rheinland Group, Germany, a worldwide leader in Testing, Training, Inspection, Consulting & Certification, announced that it has signed an MoU with Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) to work together in building capacity and capability in the Indian Handicraft sector.

     

    The MoU was signed by Mr Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director, EPCH and Mr Charan Singh, Regional Director, TUV Rheinland India.

     

    “EPCH is an apex organization engaged in promotion of exports of Handicrafts from the country and project India's image abroad as a reliable supplier of high quality of handicrafts goods and services” said Mr Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director,EPCH.”We are extremely pleased to join hands with TUV Rheinland India,a leading product certification and testing company of international repute, which will further give a boost to our critical objective of ensuring various measures towards compliance of international standards and specifications.”

     

    “As per the terms of the partnership, TUV Rheinland India and EPCH will create awareness and disseminate knowledge to handicrafts exporters on issues relating to supply chain standardization, processing, product certification and testing” said Mr Charan Singh, Regional Director, TUV Rheinland India.”This would be done through multiple industry connect interventions like workshops, seminars and awareness programs to enable the Indian handicrafts sector to meet international benchmarks”

     

    “Both the organizations will also work cohesively to set up testing laboratories for the Handicrafts sector and provide product-testing services to the Handicrafts exporters at standardized rates” added Mr Charan Singh.
